Sea kayaking is an exhilarating experience and it brings you face to face with some of the hidden wonders that the ocean bio-diversity has to offer. From the magic of the kelp forest below through to a myriad of shore and pelagic birds above. There is a diversity of life out there will open your eyes to a new wonderland. Our very popular trips are offered around the coastline.
In Hermanus you experience sea kayaking within the marine reserve and in season have an opportunity of seeing the whales. But, we have to remain 300 metres from the whales and if they come closer, we have to move away. On our tours you will enjoy sightings of cape fur seals, penguins, cormorants and other sea birds and marine mammals. Consequently, whatever time of year this is an excursion not to be missed. The duration is 2 hours, however no prior experience is necessary.
In Simonstown you get to paddle out to the penguins at Boulders Beach. Everyone loves this experience as these gorgeous comical birds plunge in and out the ocean. They waddle up and down the beach providing great entertainment. Please note this is a reserve area, so to clarify, we may not beach the craft at Boulders.
In Hout Bay take time out to enjoy a 2 hour paddle exploring one of Cape Town’s most iconic shorelines. Some of the marine life you encounter may include seals, penguins, dolphins, whales and sunfish….to name a few. The magnificent views from the ocean, looking back at the towering mountains from Chapmans Peak all the way around to The Sentinel are breathtaking.
